On a cold, wet Seattle night to cap off Week 16, the San Francisco 49ers fell to 10-4-1 on the season after dropping a 42-13 decision at CenturyLink Field. Missing All-Pro defensive tackle Justin Smith (first missed start since his rookie year of 2001), the 49ers would then go on to lose Vernon Davis and Mario Manningham during the game as it just wasn't the Niners' day. After Marshawn Lynch touchdowns culminated both of the Seahawks' first two drives, the backbreaker was Richard Sherman's 90 yard touchdown return of a blocked field goal that gave Seattle an insurmountable 21-0 lead not even one minute into the 2nd quarter. David Fucillo of Niners Nation sums up the game.
