This is the Paramount Theater in Anderson Indiana and these are various pictures of it before and after the restoration of this beautiful theater that was built in 1929 and was restored in the 1990s The original Page pipe organ was also restored and remains functional and is used frequently..

  • We used also to go to the State Theater where in 1960 we saw "The Time Machine" with Rod Taylor; but the Paramount was a special place.

  • We used to live in Anderson in 1960 and 61 and attend movies at this theater and at the Riviera across the street. Saturday mornings we would have a drawing for a Schwinn bicycle sponsored by a local dairy. We saw "Enemy From Space" here and "Ice Palace" and many other films. We used to live at 1210 Home Avenue, and I believe it is the only house that has survived on the block. We went to St. Mary's school and church. I knew kids with names like Jerry Jordan and Skippy Moppin and Dickie Lukens.
