THIS! is how to cover a song!!

Thanks, I tracked the original from TKOP down, Chan "covered" them the way she "covered" Satisfaction. The general tune is the same, some of the lyrics are the same, but in completely different order to say whatever Chan wanted to say. The original was a "my woman wronged me" song, fairly pedestrian. This "cover", however, is something mysterious and strange, moody, violent, and enigmatic as h***.

This is a cover? As far as I know it's an original. And yes, very moody, angry, and violent if you actually listen to the lyrics... with Rockets, it's one of my favorites off this album.

this is one of the best covers she ever made. beautiful.

somehow after seeing the lyrics printed out here, I knew it would be you
The whole album is very moody, and kinda angry. I like to listen to it when I am going through hard times in my life. It sure does make me feel better. ;)

Yeah, the original was released in 1984 and it's from a New Zealander band called This Kind of Punishment (she also did a cover of Peter Jefferies, who was a member - The Fate of the Human Carbine). I heard Chan's version first, but reading the credits I could discovered a great band.
