Bottomless portafilter, not bad for only doing this a couple of days.

  • Can some1 tell me wat the difference between steam and pump expresso machines?

  • Carezza's are great. These can be used forever if treated right. Over extracted means that it was brewed to slowly. You've gotta play with the grind settings to get this right.

  • what does over extracted mean in regard to espresso making?

im new to this and bought a carezza. am scared ive got a crappy machine now uve commented?

  • Very average looking shot. Light color indicates the temperature was too low. Late blonding means you've over-extracted the shot; try grinding finer and see what happens. Gaggia Carezza's are tough to tune for great shots - no OPV/PRV and no way to regulate temps - but it can be done.

    Good luck, Tex

  • Where did you get that bottomless portafilter? did you cut it?
