@lostcowhand Plumbing's all about water supply and DWV, the foundation of any mechanical system. So you're sort of correct--get a plumbing ticket first, then move on to Boilermaking or Steamfitting, I'd say.

The difference between a fitter and a plumber(even commercial/industrial) is so vast that there isn't room in the comments to list it all. Basically, a plumber is a fitter in training.
