1# what a stupid criticism. those workers r not dying from starving. in fact the room they r staying in r like palace to them. they have food, water, power and airconditioning. if they dont like it there they can just go home. no body force them to stay. they r coming with thier own well. in fact they r dying to get visa to dubai

thanx, yes there are bad and good all over the country i have visited america and the people there are very kind, still bad and good all over and i admit there are bad people in uae but you cant judge the country by what one person has done.

i worked in Dubai. the Local people of Emirates were Wonderful people. I'm American and I didnt see things like this. There is Good & Bad ALL OVER THE WORLD. It's Strange how u dont show NOTHING BAD in USA or European countries,, u only show things in Arab countries... U dont show America's Drug problems, Crime and so Many other things we have in our country.. but u show Bad Things about the UAE who is a Friendly Country to the USA.. The Emarati people treated me kindly & respectfully always..

About 40 years ago, it found a small amount of oil. It invested it in real estate, infrastructure, tourist attractions, educating it's population.

Most of the money now comes in from Tourism, and Foreign investors, banking, etc.

Abu dhabi does have some oil, but even then, the UAE as a whole is 78% services, and around 10% oil related industry.

I think the Arabs should drive small cars.
I think SUVs waste way to much gas.

How did Dubai afford all this?
