The all aluminum LSx weighs about the same as the stock 13b REW with turbos and as you mentioned the LSx sits lower and most who do this swap move the battery to the back and don’t run A/C. My car ended up weighing a bit less after the swap.
13BREW = 400 lbs
LS1 = 430 lbs
There is no noticeable difference in handling characteristics from the stock rotary to an LSx in an FD.

@InceroVideos because the ls2 is so light being aluminuim and they sit so low in the rx7 like there ment too bee there there is no noticable difference
This probably sounds really sad, but I watch this video a lot, whenever I'm stressed or pissed off. Never fails to chill me the hell out. Perfect engine - car combo.

How does it handle with the v8 in it? The rex's are nicely balanced before adding all that weight....

@InceroVideos Never owned a rotary FD so not sure, but according to HinsonSupercars (their bolt in kit) the V8 mounts so low, and the aluminum head and block is so light that there is no dicernable difference in handling. I've been told the engine is 130lbs heavier, to being the same exact weight as the 13B. So take what you will. Need to put my car on a scale.
