    All the uses seem very useful except maybe... "to look for alien life on space rocks".... wot if life on other planets dont use ATP as their energy currency? but use lik... GTP maybe? can it still work?

    I'd say its probably unlikely alien life uses ATP but the point is that the test is so cheap and easy that it would be silly not to include, just in case! I'm not sure about GTP, but it would be easy to test.
