    i played it when i was 14 too but NONE of us can claim to play it as well as Heifetz. When asked who were his best students, Auer listed several but NOT heifetz. when asked why not heifetz, he responded that God taught Heifetz.

    Every note seems to have it's own tonal color and there are so many micro-rhythms built into the phrasing!
