The crew at Restore A Muscle Car teamed up with Hermance Design to create a stunning version of the 5th Gen Firebird... if such a thing existed. Powered by a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 and completely restyled, the best part about the Banshee is that you can buy one!

I think you're missing the point... you CAN buy a Banshee. It's not a tribute or a fantasy, it's a real car for people who really want one. As long as GM keeps making Camaros (which seems like they will for a while, 'cause they can't make enough of 'em) the crew at Restore A Musclecar will have cars to transform into Banshees.

i know you guys are all pro chevy and thats ok but the point your missing is its renamed and its trying to be a firebird.. which its not. its basically a fake. kinda like a kit car trying to be a ferrari. its just not real is it? and about the whole GM gonna keep making camaros........ camaros been cancelled twice sooo idk about all that thinking its gonna stay this time :)

Hopefully people keep buying Camaros, Mustangs, AND Challengers or they will all go away my friend. We've built alot of GM stuff only 'cause the right Mopar opportunity has not come along yet. We'd love to build one. I see your point about it being a factory Pontiac, but it's much closer than a kit playing a Ferrari. It's a sweet car that was very well done, and I wouldn't mind some seat time. If I get my hands on one, I'll give you a call and we'll go do burnouts! Cheers!

hey man, i have pictures of this car from multiple trans am nationals, the actual heritage goes further back than a futuristic version of a camaro or firebird, they have actually made a couple of them. the older versions go way back and the GM executives (retired) bring them all the time. so this is the 2010 version Banshee that happens to use the Camaro body with some trans am inspiration. seeing it up close was Great along with the older banshee concepts GM has designed,

this car is completely distinctive from the Camaro. this is the "most T/A" T/A ever built since '02. From it's completely unique design from the Camaro (it shares fewer body panels and parts than Camaros and Firebirds ever have) to it's old-school name, this is allllllllll 'Bird. it is not "basically a fake", nor "kinda like a kit car". it's an xlnt approximation of what Pontiac would be making if they still existed, if not better and even MORE divergent from the Camaro.

since the days when Delorean bugged the hell outta GM brass so he could build his two-seater sports car he called the Banshee and GM finally relented (they didn't want to compete with themselves against the 'vette) but stipulated that he had to build his car on the f-body platform, the Camaro and the 'Bird have ALWAYS been built on the same platform. Further, this car only shares the roof--ONLY THE ROOF--with the Camaro, which is a greater divergence than some Camaros/Birds in years past.

I don't think it quite looks like a Pontiac, but it is nice!
