Enter the World of Limmy
Scottish internet sensation Limmy makes the jump to TV in a brand new comedy half-hour that combines character pieces, arresting inserts, diverting visuals, casual violence, cutting observations, animation and sketches.
Writer/performer/director/web-designer Brian Limond has become something of a phenomenon thanks to his website www[dot]limmy.com. The extremely popular site features videos, pictures, playthings and the World of Glasgow podcasts where Limmy plays a whole host of comic characters. Limmys live show Fresh for 08 earned rave reviews at the Glasgow and Edinburgh comedy festivals (not only extremely funny but rather beautiful the Scotsman, Glaswegian psychopath Front magazine).
Now Limmys bringing his distinct brand of comedy to BBC Scotland. Limmys fans will be delighted to learn the cast-list of personas for his show includes hard-bitten ex-junkie Jacqueline McCafferty, urban menace John-Paul and zoned-out waster Dee Dee. Plus Limmy pops up regularly as Limmy making some extremely Limmy-like observations on life from Limmys point-of-view. Alongside characters honed on the web, Limmys Show also includes a brand new collection of sketches and scenarios developed exclusively for BBC Scotland.
