Ondine, an oneiric tale of a water fairy singing to seduce the observer and accompany her to visit her kingdom deep at the bottom of the lake in the triangle of water, fire and earth. This piece contains technical problems for the right hand, like wild cadenza figures, chordal motifs, and chromatic notes and thirds.

The 19 years old Spanish musician Félix González-Ardanaz, began his musical upbringing in La Rioja at the "Professional School of Music", finalizing bachelor at sciences and the Professional Degree of Music at the age of 17, and with the best qualifications, under the trusteeship of Begoña Axpe Basarrete and Elvira Guarás.

From an early age, he has performed in its community many times, as chamber music performer and as soloist. He has taken part in several courses in the field of piano and conducting, as active student and as soloist. That was in the context of the Fifth International Summer Course "New Musical Generation" in Segovia; of the "Third International Forum of Music City of Toledo", and of the "50th International Summer Academy of Nice". He has also participated actively in the courses which usually take place in the Musikeon Academy, in Valencia, in charge of the Italian musician Luca Chiantore, and in those of the Eutherpe Foundation in Leon.

He has received classes by spanish pianists of the stature of Guillermo González, Josep Colom... and Solomon Mikowsky, Brigitte Engerer, Jean-François Heisser and Michel Béroff in the international field. Since last year, he has had the privilege to receive the extraordinary supervision of Doña Alicia de Larrocha, great lady of the Spanish piano.

His trajectory has provided him several awards in international contests like "City of San Sebastián" (third prize in the categories of chamber music and the piano highest level , respectively) and "Ciutat de Carlet" (mention in the youthful modality). He has been supported by some state foundations devoted to talent developing and the help to high capacities, as the "Promete Foundation", and he has been granted the prize "Youngs of the Future" to the values of the youth, promoted by the Rotary Club the International.

Three months ago, he took part in the Concert-Recording of the unknown masterpiece "Rhapsodie Basque pour orchestre et piano", by the French composer Charles Bordes, with the collaboration of the Spanish conductor Jose Luis Estellés. Recently, he has been selected one finalist of the European grant promoted by the foundation Yamaha Europe, that will take place soon, and which is destined to grant only one Spanish pianist. As soloist, he has worked masterpieces of Chopin, Liszt, Albéniz, Debussy, Beethoven and Ravel, among others.

At the present time, it attends with excellent qualifications second course of the modalities of Piano and Conducting in the Basque Country School of Music (Musikene), under the trusteeship of Gustavo Diaz-Jerez and Enrique García Asensio, permanent conductor of the "Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra" during more than 20 years in the past.

He feels special predilection for the Spanish nationalism, the romanticism and french impressionism. Masterpice explanation:

  • It's OK, if you like perfection.

  • This is insane, I'm jell as hell. Bravo man, bravo.

  • That's incredible!

  • bravo to you! you create a dream-like state to be sure, but i do think it could be a little 'freer' via faster tempo and more acceleration/rubato personally...

  • Wow, this is great.

  • @krastavitza vlado's version would be slow imho, this is just the perfect balance between emotional delivery and technique.

  • amazing.. for my taste this is perhaps the best version of this song that I've seen in youtube..

  • VERY GOOD! Here and there a bit slower than it's suppose to be but that's just fine. No rush whatsoever and the result is fantastic!

Bravo ++++++++
