very nice version of the song =)
only your voice, it could be a bit louder but i know it's not that easy to get it without a microphone :)
keep on rocking.

I hate, despise, this song and love it strongly at the same time. I think the melody is good and when somberness is presented it is good.

Great. I'm a long time petty fan...

dope dope dope!...check out mine:)

Great job! What chords and capo on 3rd fret? Doesn't sound right..well i'm using standard tuning..beginner...but still AWESOME! Shows how only a few simple chords can make a great song :) Like Billy Ray Cyrus's don't break my heart song, 2 chords, genius =)

wat is ur strumming pattern i can't quite pick it up. Great sound and style!

ummmm...
i like the way u play this but, if u watch live vids of tom petty u find he plays it with a capo on the second fret and it would be E Em Em E Bb b5 this sounds good but you'll find tht sounds better, good luck. nice cover.

thank you, Yes, I know. I think the original studio recording is played withe the capo on 3rd fret. The way, you descripe means, to play it 4 halfsteps higher. I want to save you of that pitch, sung by me :-)

Great cover/vocals! D-G-D-A?, I have been searching for a version that I can try to learn since I'm just new to acoustic.
