@PumaSweat I haven't even seen the originals, so I didn't see it because it had a familiar name, although I do respect your opinion and totally understand what your saying, I just came out the theatre thinking "that was quite good"
I didn't think it was going to be realistic, or have a great story, and you honestly think that the Chinese kids shouldn't speak English thinking your all respective & cultural, its a kids film, they're not going to read subtitles while there's fighting going on.

In the original film Ralph Machio gets the crap beat out of him for the most part of the finale, until the "No can defend" kick and he wins. In this retarded reimagining you have Will Smith's little annoying son doing Xena moves after 6 months of training.
The fights were coregraphed in post John Woo, Post Wo ping, Post Matrix Hollywood and for all the realism they put into everything else it was a poor choice of the director to have that nigga flying a round like some Jedi master.

@thomashughes12345678 YOUTUBE STALKER!
Great you enjoyed it. The very fact that they had to rely on a familiar title to sell the storyis proof it was just an irrelevant film.Karate Kid with Kung Fu, China kids speaking fluent english, learning Power Rangers kung fu in 6 months. It just relies on American ignorance of the subject matter in order to use the franchise name. I found it offensive that they think Im that stupid to not question it.
-
@PumaSweat You said it was offensive, now your just taking a new turn, okay , I agree with you a bit, but I enjoyed it.
-
@thomashughes12345678 That has nothing to do with what I said. I don't care if your freinds are from Asgard! It was a poorly made film only done so that a studio could cash in on a familir franchise name. Simple as that. Technically it was not a well made film.
The tone was all over the place. Fights out of an episode of Xena, bad acting, unbelievable premise. Dont know if you attend Martial arts venues but theyre not like that. It was just a lame film...No need to respond
-
@PumaSweat Sorry, but did it only offend only you, I have a black and an Asian friend, and they both loved this film.

@thomashughes12345678 Music video production relied heavily on American ignorance for presentation. Karate Kid / Kung Fu in China? The portrayal of tournaments was SO not how they are. The sterotypical way every chinese person was portrayed to be all mystical and crap. The poorly written black mom. Learn Kung Fu in 6 months, beat kids who studied for 5+ years. Just the idiotic premise of a child holding that type of mature angst for vengance was just stupid. & 2 LONG!!

@thomashughes12345678 thanks for not being offensive. the reason why I like it better is because to me it has more heart like the main character has to change to live in a way that is foreign to him. Also the love relationship between him and the Chinese girl is more fitting because they're of roughly the same age and similar interests besides fighting. The only thing I dislike about it is the fact it's in China and that's it Ku Fung but apart from that it's perfect
