the algorithms are unnecessary in the beginning, cuz if u position the edge pices on the second layer correctly its much easier, u put it opposite of its top face, then u make the bottom part of it facing you..... u do R U R' U' L U' L and u do the opposite if its on the right side. it seems harder but its easier motions of the hands and fingers, and quicker in general
