Well you can believe all that if you want too.... I for one will never trust them... you can blindly believe whatever you want...

D.C.-based consumer advocacy group, Food & Water Watch, addressed the outcry by demystifying the fine print of HR8-75. Turns out, the bill, accused by many of threatening gardeners and small organic farmers, does not regulate backyard gardens and imposes no new regulations on farmers markets or direct marketing arrangements, like CSAs. And while it increases inspection of food processing plants, it does not make plants pay any registration fees or user fees.

There was a bill introduced called hr8.75 i believe that if passed would stop us from growing our own food at our homes. If they catch you with a garden even if it is just to feed yourself then they can fine you up to $25,000 and seize your property. It has not passed yet that is why i say they dont want us to grow our own food not they wont let us. I believe its coming soon. think about it if people wise up and grow their own food how will they tax it.

You can grow anything here in the U.S ! There are alot of organic sources here, just look on the internet for seed savers, heirloom seeds, etc... I don't understand your comment, the "government " doesn't care what you grow in your garden ( as long as it's not illegal drugs)!

Thanks for showing the spring flowers. I have been able to get heirloom seeds from The Lost Seed company here in Tasmania. I look forward to seeing yours grow so I can know what to expect when my turn comes.
Hi Claire.
Along with my first ever Spring Vegies I am planting/sowing my first ever flowers...delphinium, sunflowers, poppies, feverfew, viloas, calendula, various daisies, larkspur etc etc. It is going to be a jungle.

But it will look beautiful, and just think of all the pollinators it will attract. Have a great season.

I noticed that you get most of your seeds from pre packaged containers... I was curious if they were all hybrid or if you buy organic / heirloom seeds as well? I stopped buying from stores here in Florida because everything they sell is Hybrid and wont grow back next year... I now only buy organic online... I dont know what country you are in but here in the US our government doesnt want us growing our own food... They want to keep us dependent on them... Thx.

I'm in the UK. I tend to buy what I like the look of, and keep seeds for the following year as much as I can. Soon I won't have to buy any flowers seeds. Why in the US they won't let you grow your own is beyond me. Hasn't the first lady just dug a patch in the White House gardens for veggies. Maybe it will all change soon, Obama seems to know what he's doing.
