Since mercs will always lie down after every turn so, its extremely difficult to locate the final scum in a large field to complete the sector. Final comments: Easily fatigued mercs. Underpowered Guns, lack in ammo. Too many frustrations. Lack in info to predict shots. Enemies are too strong despite occasional retreats in the beginning sectors (In later of the game, it's HELL since bullets only create scratches). Nice graphics. Characterized mercs.
As a JA fans, I've too many to say, bear with me. In JA, there are ways that you can predict how effective a shot can be, like counting the distance between the enemy and ya. Yet, here, all you can depend on is-LUCK. Also, the AP for shooting the same enemy from the exact spot can vary in the SAME turn. So, you can never know how many APs you need to save in order to e.g. fire once more, perform specific actions. The uncertainty can be frustrating when you're having 10 mercs against 20sth oppo.
Started to have even more comments (more cons). There are some ridiculous things happened on me: The mercs ran out of breath (stamina) and passed out in battlefield. They will lie down after running or EVEN shooting a rifle in a long battle. After that you need to spend extra APs to wake them up and force them to walk, and they'll pass out again. This vicious cycle repeats itself in the entire squad during my game-play in later stage when battle gets long.
No night opt in Hired Guns (fighting @nite is same as day time). Differences in the gun performance are not THAT significance. "Interrupt" occurrences are nearly zero (I like it somehow since I worried less about where the enemies are, yet, I reckon some JA player like it a lot). Guns seem to be useless to a certain extent :) since fist hurt more than bullets. I was like, "WHAT?"
3. This one cannot be better than JA series. If you're a JA player since Wild Fire, you may agree with me. Yet, it serves as an appetizer while you wait for JA3. We are so used to Ivan, Gus, Shadow and Scully, so its upsetting to see mercs with similar appearance of some JA2 members but not the same one. For JA, you'll dig out and play after 1 year and still find it nice. But that doesn't apply to Hired Guns. It's pretty subjective in which one is better. Apparently, I like JA2 more. Hahaha~
2. Pros: 3D, detail in texture, some personality for the mercs - like you cant hire one and his/her enemy at the same time, can save during combat, difficulty in picking up nice guns and their ammo.
Cons: Stupid AI (suitable for me thou since the computer's squad would retreat when I outnumbered them. This provide time for me to heal and rest my squad)
I know what you mean, I'm still playing with the 1.13 Wildfire Mod, no matter how old it is, it has great replayability. I hope Hired Guns will provide me with lots of fun as well.
I've only found the Russian and German versions. I doubt that the company is going to make it into English since it's been one year since it's release.
ja2 better

Missed some points up there.
Hate this limit in characters by Youtube.

To anyone who has played the full version:
-How is the game?
-What are it's strong points / weak points?
-How does it compare to Jagged Alliance 2?
Thanks.
