it's a starting point for progress when i see people who believe that god created evolution in nature, so i cannot get defensive. However, what I don't see the need to put the word "god" in sentences to complete them. They seem to me more like a "moral agent of reassurance (the agent being supernatural a entity)" rather than a term which further enhances ones message. As time goes on, our language SHOULD evolve as well as our concepts and theories.
It blows my mind that we share a significant percentage of genes with microscopic worms like c. elegans and that we share biological systems like metabolism.
"..faith really should have no business in the human mind..."
No, faith itself is important. I agree that blind faith / religious faith / beliefs that are contrary to evidence / etc. are dangerous, but the ability to make a decision when there isn't enough evidence available is important.
It's just in situations when there is adequate evidence that faith becomes unnecessary and should be swapped out for reasoning.

The difference between monkeys and apes?
Monkeys have tails, apes don't.
There are other skeletal differences too.
Humans are more closely related to apes.
Oh, and it's 98% genetic similarity between humans and chimps.
*shrugs*
