Provided by http://ACityofFriends.com. The Krewe of Bacchus is known in New Orleans for their gigantic floats containing hundreds of riders and this year was no exception. The floats are so long that to keep this video short (relatively, speaking) there are no close-ups of riders. Look for the "Krewe of Bacchus Floats (Long)" video if you are hoping to see more faces of the riders.

I agree, people have such a distorted perception about many aspects of New Orleans. It's a really shame, because this city has so much more heart than most cities.

Man this is a GREAT video. I rode with Tucks a few times and this video captures some of the excitement of the parades. It's ashame that the French Quarter and Bourbon Street are what people think of when it comes to Mardi Gras. See you in 2010!
