Dan O was a bit of legend around that 88-90 period. But, whoever said this doesn't really cut it now was right. It's just too fucking earnest. And a musical dead end. His later band 411 was much better in every respect- though still a tad preachy it was hooky, melodic & powerful. Why the hooded sweat lunkheads never got into them is beyond me. The spazzier bands of the first HC revival stand up way better. Born Against were rad, so were Moss Icon.
Awesome band with intelligent lyrics and great vocals. Almost everything done by Dan 'O Mahony sounds pretty rad. I even prefer the Voicebox 7" Silence Lies above No For An Answer. Carry Nation and 411 were also pretty good. What was the word again on Workshed Records in the early ninetees? ;)
econochrist? are you kidding me? i saw them more than once and they were a totally forgettable band. just because they had something released on vermiform doesn't make them good.
thumbs up on infest/life's blood/born against, though.
Saw these guys at the country club in raseda ca.

somewhat above average hardcore band.
i and they took it all so serious back then.
i don't think it really stands the test of time.
of that era (1989-ish) infest, life'sblood, econochrist, born against still sound awesome.
