Toto the raccoon,2 weeks into the release,,, still buddies.

Sorry My cam has no sound.. Perhaps that's a good thing you really don't need to hear me "talk raccoon " lol and further to the point, I have no idea how to add captions and music to vid,, This feller's history,,, his mom set up camp in a vacant shed. Had 4 kits then some one bought the the property,, They caged the mom and drowned her in a river and left the kits to die on their own,, For 2 days they cried, until all died but one . A lady next door could stand the crying no longer and rescued him out of the rain and mud. she had to give him up,we drove 40 miles picked him up and we nursed him back to something close to normal health. At 6 weeks old he still had his eyes closed, and we bottle feed him for 2 weeks. Here he is 6 months later and 15 pounds heavier , making a new home in a protected woodland. ps with a little help too :}

@shovelfaceart We released 3 of them together,after the had the shots for rabies and distemper,,, they set up in a tree with a big hole Each day just before dark we set up some food and they would coming down to eat. this kept up for about a month then they went to going out only at night,, winter set in and we could only see the tracks,,, Still hoping to see them and still feeding them,,, but only time will tell, the attached vid is of toto when he was about 6 weeks old,,,
