Paulson declares EMERGENCY !

Hank Paulson + this administration are declaring an Emergency, requesting unlimited powers to spend our tax dollars at their discretion without congressional oversight, legislation which MUST be passed by the end of the week. Does anyone see a problem with this? The power of the PURSE belongs to the LEGISLATIVE branch under the US Constitution. It does not belong to the executive branch or their appointees. Paulson was part of the entire banking system to begin with, and still is. This is not only a banking and financial crises, manufactured by the very same people who now want unlimited power so solve it, but a constitutional crises of the highest order.

Regardless, of whether there is a bailout or not, my guess, is that there would be a resultant inflation and further weakening of the dollar

The U.S. doesn't have much leverage left anyway, thanks to the ruinous policies of the Bush/Cheney/Rove Republican Neo-conservatives, of which McCain and Palin will no doubt only seek to perpetuate.

A McCain/Palin administration would only bring more of the same failure and misguided policies of the Bush/Cheney years.

We can't let them get away with this 700-billion dollar fleecing scheme! We the American Taxpayer shouldn't have to foot the bill for the laissez-faire and reckless ways of Wall Street/Shrub's cronies. I just hope that Congress will listen to the people, use common-sense, and don't cave into Shrub's, Paulson's, and Bernanke's psycho-babble!
