  • I have studied this and I understand to a certain degree. I've been trying to get my finance to understand this because I told her I didn't want to sign a marriage license for this exact reason. Now if we write our own vows and have it notarized does it still make it legal in the same manner as a marriage license?

  • @2kthig Once you get the notary signature authenticated u ca use it as a doc for evidence. please do the research because i am not a lawyer, but i am well versed in contract law.

  • That's a good observation officer=overseer.

  • @pt.2

I understand the brothers cause is righteous but we MUST BE CLEAR on what we are reading, ESPECIALLY when dealing with LAW.

  • I am not SUPPORTING interracial marriage but Sabir misunderstood what he read.

"Statutes PROHIBITING marriages between persons of Different races have been held to be invalid as contrary to the equal protect clause of the constitution"

This means any STATUTES (legislative document) that PROHIBITS (FORBIDS) interracial marriage are INVALID (having no legal force), because the STATUTE goes against the equal protect clause.

In others words Statues AGAINST Interracial marriage are ILLEGAL.

  • Damn Bro, Real talk. I was in Iraq too, they did the same thing to us. I was the only black combat medic in a all white infantry company. The Battalion had black soldiers from Chicago. When we would get together, it was a big deal to them. My First Sgt. Asked me one day," How does it feel to know you represent your race in this company?" He also gave me that UR NOT LIKE THOSE "OTHER GUYS around here " ur different because ur intelligent...WOW!!!
