The ten commandments are:

1 - Thou shalt not have no other gods before me

2 - Thou shalt not use the name of the lord in vaine

3 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images

4 - Honour thy father and thy mother

5 - Thou shalt not kill

6 - Thou shalt not steal

7 - Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour

8 - Thou shalt not bear false witness

9 - Thou shalt not commit adultery

10 - Remember the Sabbath day

Lucas Cranach the Elder
(Lucas Cranach der Ältere)
Was a German Renaissance painter and printmaker.
Courtpainter to the Electors of Saxony for most of his career, and is best known for his portraits, both of German princes and those of the leaders of the protestant reformation, whose cause he embraced with enthusiasm, becoming a close friend of Martin Luther.
Besides religious subjects Cranach also painted nudes drawn from mythology and religion.
He was born Lucas Sunder at Kronach in upper Franconia.
Later he took the name of his birth- place as his surname.
Cranach startled his master's courtiers by the realism with which he painted still- life, game and antlers on the walls of the country palaces, his pictures of deer and wild boar were considered striking.
He has painted several altar- pieces for the castle- church at Wittenberg, in competition with Albrecht Dürer, Hans Burgkmair and others.
He received the winged snake emblem in 1509, which superseded the initials on all his pictures after that date.

  • Splendid! Another new painter for me to learn. (Whose voice is that at the end, saying, "We're done for, done, diddily done"? Some movie line? It startled me. :-) Cheers, John

  • haha... well John, that's Flanders and the person slapping him and saying "Flanders, snap out of it !" is Homer from the Simpson series...

  • Funny isn't it.... Some humour in this is welcome, and he, the maker of this video, did this on the day that there had to be rest: sabbath, so he was a little bit a sinner too, but a lovely one...

  • dat vind ik nou een leuk bericht... deze zondaar is hier blij mee (leuke afspeellijsten heb je trouwens)
