golden retriever trying to stay awake

this is my golden retriever, lucas, he had an all night out with his neighborhood buddies and we didn't let him go to sleep when he got back.. he couldn't even stand up straight.. unfortunately, he's not with us no more,, but we love him.. and will always love him..

I hate when I do that in the car sometimes. I'm so tired my head continously hits the head rest so by the time we get home I have a massive headache

@kody1654 Mee too, Lucas probably didn't sleep for 2 days. He was so unique. I would see him a block away with 7 other dogs just following him. As soon as I whistled, he would stop whatever he was doing and come running.. the other dogs chased him but then stayed away when they saw me.. Not even a bird could fly low or even land on the acre property, cuz Lucas would be on top of it.. numerous times I would see him with a chicken in his mouth, He would release as soon as I yelled, "Lucas!".lol

@xRantsReviewsx Read the original post, my kids were anxious to play with him and when they saw him, all he wanted to to is sleep, but I kept him up, cuz I can't talk to him or spank him.. We let him sleep all day and played with him all the next day.. Lucas wasn't like a regular dog. Lucas did what Lucas wanted! period! but He loved my kids and my kids loved him so much.

i have a dark golden retrever (thare like a redish color) his name is rusty and he is 8 and still loves to run around and jump up on the bed in the morning and lick ur face to wake u up.... im sorry to hear about ur lucas maby he will come back

@1diesellover Thanks, my kids have pictures of Lucas in their rooms. He was trully a great friend. We took him everywhere and he won everyone's hearts. It's been years now so I just hope he's happy. thanks for the comment.

hello, I dont understand. WHY didnt you let him sleep, after he got lost, and found his way home. You say he escaped alot? Came back with chickens in his mouth? Why or how did he get loose all the time? I have two goldens, they are tied out, when they go. I cannot risk loosing them to where their nose leads them. I love mine to death. If my dog was lost for two friggin days, i would hell yes, let them sleep for Christ's sake! not funny
