Great video. I was wondering what lab equipment do you think a person should buy if they are doing ccna and plan on doing ccnp.

Your misinforming people GNS3 is SOOO much better than real equipment. Although you do need hardware

Was buying the switches and routers expensive? Did you buy new PCs too?

So responding to Jeffrey's comment, I can see how my video can be misleading. So to clarify_GNS3 is the best thing that has happen since slice Bread. There is no doubt that GNS3 is the golden egg. It will help you tremendously with your studies. I used it through my CCNP & connected my real switches to GNS3. However, if you are studying for your CCNA, I suggest you get a real lab first with 3 routers and 2 switches. Use GNS3 after your CCNA, This is only an opinion not written in stone.

GNS3 is Awesome, there is no doubt. And I strongly recommend it when studying for CCNP and CCIE. The ability to run so many routers in GNS3, without the electric bill, AC bill, and heat, is a fantastic thing. To be able to open GNS3 to through a quick config on it to test something is fantastic. So the idea is not to downplay GNS3 but to encourage CCNA students to start off with real equipment.

Jeffrey..... This is what I stated about GNS3 in my video "Using GNS3 for routing and using it for my all my routers is A+. And I have used them and I have it alot and I still use them today and I love GNS3". Now I do state the downfalls of GNS3 and I do recommend having real equipment than GNS3... Now that being said, I did not state the downfall of real equipment. But also this advice is for CCNA students. And their first experience should be real equipment, in my opinion
