One of the best scenes of this movie. Thanks for uploading.

@InfiniteMisery003 Once Connor's father (Irish mafia) was killed, there was no need for the Italian mafia to protect Connor anymore. Connor was a headache and liability, so they let Hank's character kill him. They probably unlocked the door so Hank's character could go in.

I love how the string and brass for this is very simple yet haunting.

a brutal sort of justice. the Capo has spoken. They all understand what that means. They stand aside and let Michael Sullivan do what he has to do.

@SuperIllusiveman He was sitting up for the first shot, Hanks has the gun raised at his chest shoots once Into Criags head then points lower and angles the gun lower 2 last shots . Use the DoorKnob as your ruler just watch it over and over

i love the way there's no elaborate converstaion or shooting in the balls or anything. It's just walk in and a few shots in the head. I also love the camera work in this scene. Truly one of the great scenes in cinema history

@jiltedkiller thats the realism of the kill, the mafia wont stop you to give a one liner. many former mafia members have said that death for them comes without warning, their is no indication just the sound of a gunshot or a bomb.

whoa badass scene. i need to see this movie.
can someone tell me why his room door was open?
i understand there was wise-guys standing around the hotel, but did they quietly open the bad guy's door while he bathed? cause it looks like danial craig was letting him take the hit.

@InfiniteMisery003 from his point of view he is untouchable, so he dident feel the need to lock the door.

@InfiniteMisery003 My brother in law worked on this film. A large proportion of the cameramen crew were British. Edward my brother in law said the scene was originally to be shot with the door shut with one of the henchmen letting Tom Hanks character in, as he approached however, they decided to have to door open to allow the viewer creative freedom , i.e to allow you your own perception on it..therefore you choose which suits...the henchman opened it, rooney Jr was ready to die ..your choice
