This is a "Ladder" style workout. Starting with one rep, working up to nine reps. Each person takes a turn, so one person rests while one is working. With 9 exercises, you have 45 reps per exercise and 405 total reps. Substitute exercises and you have unlimited options.

  • This looks really good. One question; why 9 reps? How does this relate to industry recommended rep ranges for strenght/hypertrophy/endurance?

  • @chiefmungomartin . Thanks! The rep range is completely up to you. The determining factors are time and the fitness level of the participant. This is a fun workout because it pairs people up to work together and it's all body weight exercises. Not for Hypertrophy, but great for overall conditioning. I can scale this from 10 to 20 minutes and then add in other circuits to make a full class. Hope this helps.

  • there is no ladder in this...i believe that they ment that these are pyramid sets...rookies

  • @stateproperty699

I have seen both terms used. From may experience, "ladders" is used when you start at 1 rep and work your way "up". Pyramids is used when you start at 9 reps and work your way down to 1 rep. Thanks for your comment.

  • Quick note for fitness pros. This might seem obvious, but make sure you match up people with the same level of ability. It makes for a better experience for both people.
