Many thanks for your reply. That could well be it,,but it is so long ago that I heard it, I could not be sure. I am certain that anything you post will be appreciated. I remember Gedda singing most of it mezzo-voce to choral accompaniment. Best Wishes.

This is "troika pochtovaya", a very beautiful song, which has also been sung by the great Lyudmila Zykina, among others. What a great version this is, thank you so much for uploading! I'm a great fan of Russian folk music and choral music.
