Google adsense is a great way to boost revenue from your website, but how does google adsense work?!  This is often one of the most sought after questions when website owners are looking to make money online.
"Adsense" is Google's advertising program. Adsense should not be mistaken for another one of Google's advertising programs, Adwords.  "AdWORDS" is the source of the ads used for the Adsense program. Adwords users would pay money to run these ads so that they themselves can generate money by sending people to their websites.
Website owners are known as publishers.  They can sign up with Google Adsense free of cost and get to place these ads on their websites. When an ad is clicked on, Google pays the publisher (you the website owner) about half of what the Adwords advertiser is paying to run the ad. As expected, Google gets the other half.
