You never had isolated groups of men to start any movement. It was an ongoing process where community and grass roots leaders both BM and BW came together to work for the common good. I guess Harriet Tubman and Soujourner Truth don't ring a bell for you. Apparently, neither does Ida B. Wells and her protest against the lynchings of Blacks in the U.S. during the 1800"s.
