Air traffic controllers had warned the Indonesian pilot of dangerous conditions as the plane carrying 130 passengers and crew came in to land in heavy rain Sunday. A total of 88 people died after Flight OG 269 crashed on landing at the Thai resort of Phuket. At least 89 people, including up to 55 foreigners, perished when a plane operated by budget carrier One-Two-Go veered off a runway during a fierce monsoon storm on the resort island of Phuket.

I drove past the airport, when this plane crashed. I will never forget this day, for the rest of my life!!! The weather really was extremely bad, with extreme winds, and very heavy rain. It looked like the pilot tried to pull the planes nose up when the plane tilted to one side, when it was pushed into the hillside by an extreme gust of wind. I pray for those who died in that crash, and for the people they left behind, but I also pray for the survivors, who`s lives changed 4ever, as was mine
