No way...Kramer retelling the story is SO MUCH FUNNIER than actually filming it because you can use your imagination! This is a lot like George's hysterical retelling of the beached whale story in "The Marine Biologist." I think both of those stories would have been dark and scary if they had actually been filmed instead of retold.
What made Seinfeld such a brilliant show was it required the viewer to read between the lines. As Jerry said, part of the fun is the "slalom through the cones."

"you kept making all the stops??" - one of the best lines from that show, ever. I'm so glad they decided to keep it as kramer telling the story.
