How to Force Eject a CD/Disc from a Mac. (100% Foolproof. No scratches. No harm)

This is a step-by-step on how to force eject a disc from a Mac.
Get a piece of paper to write this down.
1. Turn off Mac.
2. Turn on Mac. While turning on press Right Click until Disc comes out or login screen comes up.
That was Plan A. If that didn't work try Plan B
Plan B
1. Restart Computer. While restarting hold down [Option]
2. Hold it down until Startup Disk appears.
3. When it appears, let go of [Option] and press [Eject]

I tried copying a DVD that said it's copy in 9 minutes. 5 hours later and it still says "copying about 4 minutes left." My laptop is not turning off because it is coping. It wont let me even pause it. I tried taking out the battery to force my laptop off but unluckily for me the process resumed upon turning my computer back on. What can I do??
