Part 2

I recorded this to prove how it's possible to play Skyrim even with an ancient graphics card. The only possible requirement of this is to have at least a quad core CPU. I have no idea what fps I'd get on a dual core.

I'm not saying it's worth playing...I'm waiting on my new graphics card so that's why I'm foolishly playing @ 640x480 res and every little setting tweaked to the lowest. I can probably make the fps even higher if I fiddle with the SkyrimPrefs.ini a bit more...

If you laugh or mock this attempt I can't blame you XD. Enjoy your high end graphics cards you bastards!

  • People, before you flip out and rant on about how integrated sucks and "blah blah my graphics card is the shit, fu** this shit", keep in mind that I'm not recommending this at ALL. I just bought an HD 5870 and I'm maxing this out @ 1080p. This game does deserve to be played on a decent rig, so if you can't afford to upgrade then play it on a 360. Any comments that are yelling and obnoxious will be deleted.

  • Search on Ebay for a used/new 5870. I just bought one for 139 =)

  • how did u set it to 640x480?

  • @MetalestCross My documents/my games/Skyrim/ and open SkyrimPrefs.ini and change iSize H=480

    iSize W=640

  • Honestly I wouldn't want to do a serious play of Skyrim on anything less than an hd 4670. I mean this is an epic game that deserves some high end power...if possible, have a comp sci major friend or such build u a rig from scratch for cheap.

  • @Vault15 hey, i have integrated graphics 3000 how good will it run out in the open world? my whole computer is pretty good just the graphics card

  • @MrUnstoppableOwnage 16-20fps lol. It's "playable" to me but I'm not irritated easily by such fps. I need to get a 5770/6850...at least amazing graphics cards are dirt cheap these days =]

  • I am able to play skyrim on a 1.3 Ghz dual core pentium and integrated intel graphics card. You seriously have to fuck with the .ini but it gets a playable framerate in literally almost all areas.

  • @Vault15

say that to people who like mods.

  • looks better than my 210

  • How do you set it to 640x480? I have the Vuzix 920VR and it's native res is 640x480, but the lowest setting available on my skyrim menu is 1024x768

  • @MrUnstoppableOwnage the 30 will run it low to med setting depending on your processor and ram i have a video for a tweak if you havent updated your game called cff explorer look on..... scratch that i deleted the video just look up cff explorer on google and look for a tutorial video on youtube someone else has it on here skyrim uses only 2 gigs of ram cff explorer can change that :)

  • @MrMuffin273 definitely why you even came here gtfo

  • @Voraxith oblivion looked like total crap for a game made in '06

  • @thenukeknowsall

Because integrated cards are pretty sweet when you want a HTPC. Cheap and scilent

  • I am using a intergrated card, 4GB of RAM, and it runs skyrim at a smooth-ish 14 - 18 FPS at 1360 x 768

The card is called "Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset"

    WHY DO INTERGRATED CARDS EXIST?
