Part 2. But unfortunately Favreball simply was not good enough. It takes talent and everyone being on the same page and plenty of practice and repetitions to be great. Favre simply wanted to use his high base ability to "make plays" and not much more. His base ability and longevity got him a lot of records and personal glory. His refusal to the best he could be did a disservice to the TEAMS he played for. So much talent and oppotunities wasted because when those 4-5 critical plays were needed..?

Favre's records and streaks. But not much as far as championships. And it was BECAUSE of how he approached the game - he wanted it simple. But simple doesn't in championships. It was schemes and game planning and the mental side of the game as well. And Favre NEVER had much interest in that side of the game, from the tantrums in Mariucci's office in '94 all the way to the sideline blowup with Childress. Favre HATED the "downtime" as he called it, the STUDY time. He just wanted to play Favreball.
