Eight Plait Round Braid

8 strand round plait. How to make an eight strand round plait. Parachute cord round plait.

Video shows how to use coreless paracord to make a round braid. Eight strands is what is used but the same technique will work from 4 to 16 strands. This is the first step in learning how to make your own whip and what is more fun than using nothing but muscle power to drive a bit of string through the speed of sound?

You can also make it as a paracord lanyard, belt, hatband, bracelet, etc. Always wear eye protection around paracord.

I got started setting up the studio to redo this video. I plan to do 12, 10, 8, 6 and 4 plait over. It will take a while but when I do it you will see how to drop strands and bring the thong to a conclusion. Thanks for the comment.
