I wuld suggest going back and working on really keeping her framed up the entire time you are riding through transitions and all. If she is fighting and putting her head up yourself, I would suggest getting her teeth checked.
Well you don't imediately get a sliding stop out of a horse. You need to develop immediate brakes at the slower gaits or there's not a prayer of doing it at the lope.
I am very frustrated trying to get my horse to stop on her hind legs, seem the only way i can get her to do it is by raising her head and hollowing out her back.
