well gmad is really good is just matter the sizes but evans will get u on all of those u might wanna look up the pedal being back to far i dont quite know what u mean but i kinda do if u have a drum key there is alot of extra beater the rise up the beater and the beater the it will hit on it sound 10x better if u hit it in the middle but the best pedals out there(singal pedal) is a dw 9000 dw is the best drumms out there thats just what i think

So ya, I use the bass drum that comes with the kit i guess, would the gmad/emad work with it? But ya i listen to metal stuff like devil wears prada and as i lay dying..trying to achieve a sound like that, but the bass drum purely blows..also curious as to why the pedal itself is so low..when im not pressing on it the pedal itself sits like 6-7 inches from the bass drum pad..and that doesn't sound right to me..

hey dude it really depones on your heads on your bass drum i recomend a gmad evans or a emad 2 for a more metal sound ya if u have really S$@!@ bass drums heads on there it is impossibal to make sound good and on your beater to get a really good sound 2 get a 4 sided beater and use the plastic side and your pedal get some graffite and put it on the spring so yeah that what i think...

I use the ROland V Drums..for some reason my bass sounds like shit...anyone know why it sounds alot softer and quieter?...it's pissing me off..I hear the pedal's chain over the actual drum
