The AMX-10 RC is a unit of armored Reconnaissance-Fire class 10 tons, wheel barrel and 105 mm cannon that can destroy any armored vehicle up to a distance of 2000 m. The 1st regiment Spahis is a unit of the French army under the Armor-Cavalry (CBA). It is confined to Valencia from Speyer, Germany since 1984, and is part of the 6th Light Armored Brigade
He was engaged in many theaters of operations in recent years: in the Gulf War, Kosovo, Afghanistan, former Yugoslavia, Lebanon, Chad and Côte d'Ivoire.

Le 1er régiment de spahis est une unité de l'armée française relevant de l'arme blindée-cavalerie (ABC). Il est cantonné à Valence en provenance de Spire en Allemagne depuis 1984, et fait partie de la 6e Brigade légère blindée. Il a été engagé sur de nombreux théâtres d'opérations extérieurs au cours des dernières années : dans la guerre du Golfe, au Kosovo, en Afghanistan en ex-Yougoslavie, au Liban, au Tchad et en Côte d'Ivoire. Je pense qu'un sagaie ça a encore du bon pour des unités comme les paras, mais armé comme un scimitar, avec un canon de 30 ou le nouveau CTA de 40, ce ne serait pas mieux?

Euh... J'ai dit quelque chose de mal ? Sinon, pour ce qui est du 10 RC, il fait du bon boulot en A-Stan actuellement (voir sur le blog Défense ouverte de Gusinel du Point le compte rendu de la récente bataille d'Alassay). Cela reste un tube sous blindage et entre un toyota avec un canon de 23 et un 10 RC, voir une sagaie, je choisi ces derniers (voir reportage sur les ERC au Tchad de Parrabellum)..

@morotegari1 Those french troops took part to the first irakis war in 90/91 in the operation Daguet, they were the first to come into Bahgdad before the british and the american troops.

you are completely wrong the camuflage is a new one, the colour was chosen in order to be hidden on the ground. Now the red hat, they are the only one to wear it, they also have a cape, they are the sole regiment like that in the french army, they're called "régiment de Spahis" they used to be located in french african colonies, check for : régiment de Spahis" on the web there is a page which presents them on wikipedia.
