In the wake of a brutal G20 summit in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato announces he is running for governor of Pennsylvania. But his rally is marred by a diversity of protesters, including What Happened at Pitt (WHAP), a group of students and community members affected by the violence particularly in the police occupation of Oakland. Despite the fact there is a sea of posters and banners in support of Onorato, within secondss of unfurling two banners reading "What happened at Pitt?" and "Drop the charges," security and other thugs harass the silent protesters, arresting a total of six people and disrupting the otherwise peaceful demand for accountability and first amendment rights. www.indypgh.org

  • sneelok,

I hope you are getting paid for your PR work for Onorato, Ravenstahlin, and their violent thugs.

  • the great pittsburgh turnaround--replacing careers in manufacturing with $8/hr retail jobs. how inspiring. and yeah, all those pitt students who got gassed and arrested were hardcore anarchists. you nitwit. the riot cop thugs were the ones who disrupted the peace. onorato wanted the G20 on his resume--why shouldn't he hear about the brutal crackdown that accompanied it?

  • How did that run for Governor work out?

  • @berner

yeah after half the city was militarized and these kids were fucked up by the police during the obscene g20 shitshow, they should have just written strongly worded emails to that pig onorato.

  • Yeah 'cause they can't just do things the way they're supposed to be setting up a meeting or through e-mail and ask him why that way.

  • Sneelok,

Were you in Oakland those two nights? I didn't think so.

  • This isn't helping your cause. You're just being a nuisance. Everybody else in the city stayed off the streets. Only idiots with black bandanas were sprayed with gas and arrested. Served them right. You're allowed to speak your opinion and criticize the government. You have no right to disrupt the peace.
