Another interesting fact. When pants are worn they are associated with men because they are mens apparel. Dresses/skirts are associated with women because they are feminine. Although in Biblical times men wore the long robes, etc. they still wore what are called "breeches" underneath, that is pants. Each instance when "breeches" is spoken of in the Bible it is referring to men.

The word "apparel" in this scripture, if translated in the original Greek, katastolē, it means literally "a garment let down", "dress", "attire". Basically meaning a long dress.
