This film is made in a way that i didnt want the audience to be spoon fed the narrative and have to work out what the true meaning of the film is, if you dont know try watching it a few times. after read the story-line below.


Its about a man who has come back from a funeral(thats why hes wearing a suit) and he takes a halucinagenic drug to connect with the past loved one and he dose this to make a possible connection, showing the audience it could be a possible flashback or hallucination, as he take more and more drugs it makes him worse and worse
thats when the narrative falshes forward to him in the toilet.
Totally addicted he considers wether to take his life to connect once again with this person.

The breath at the end represents a rebirth (become new person/ ready to die or movement in to an afterlife).

The idea with the ring in the second scene shows how much he loved her but as she is asleep you dont see him ask her for marriage.
in the third scene you see him without a ring showing he never got chance to ask her
