I had that same exact strap from guitar center. my friend stepped on the adjustable part and it broke...

Always remember what motivated you to take guitar lessons in the first place. What band inspired you, what music you liked, how it will feel when your on stage or in a studio or whatever keeps you dreaming. Never practice a mistake, slow it down so you can't make a mistake, never let your hands dictate your speed let your mind do that and use a timer to save time. That is set your goals in 5-10 minute increments and really concentrate for that time.
