  • Not many fish theise waters with great succes :( not just because the fish is so easyly spooked, but also because a landing is nearby impossible because of the vegitation and the rocks in the river !

  • @OwnedAsshole yes it's a tricky river to fish like you say. Waihou trout aren't very big, compared to other NZ rivers, so aren't too hard to reel in and release once hooked, the hard part is convincing them to bite without spooking them. i haven't managed to do that yet !
