  • Hi,

    If I may ... I would suggest:

    1. Put the Dialog in the Video description ( not in the comments )

    2. Skip the peppy intro / music and get into the dialog much quicker

    3. After the dialog, repeat some of the dialog and translate the phrases

I know this is much more work for you but it would really help beginners

One other issue is how to pronounce the dialog ( which Cantonese romanization = Mandarin Pinyin ) would be best ?

BTW, yam cha == Dim Sum

    Thanks, LA Guy

  • 'd suggest making your question more specific. It also puts me in a better mood if you avoid using profanity.

You are now on Lesson 10 of Learn Cantonese. If you already know basic Cantonese vocabulary and sentence structures, you will find that this dialogue builds on earlier material and will help your listening comprehension. There is a pdf of Learn Cantonese Book 1 at cantonesecourse(dot)com.

Real world practice and imagination also help. Language learning is not passive.

  • how the fk is this supposed to teach someone cantonese?

  • A: There's one near my office, but it's not too good. There's a fairly good Western-style restaurant there where I like to eat lunch.
