Examine the life and basketball career of Hakeem Olajuwon. Touch on Olajuwon's Nigerian heritage and then move on to his recruitment and eventual signing to play basketball at the University of Houston. Olajuwon was an unusual recruit in that he had hardly ever played basketball until he reached college, but being over 7 feet tall helped him eventually become one of the best centers to ever play the college game. After college, Olajuwon was drafted into the NBA, spending his career with the Houston Rockets, winning two championships and several personal awards.

Hakeem-."bobby I'm open gimme tha ball"

Bobby- "Well dream you got four guys hanging on you"

Hakeem- "That's okay....I DUNK ON ALL OF 'EM"

    Lol......EPIC

  • @PhilBurr100 Yeah, that "piece" was John Lucas, who was suspended halfway through the season for a positive cocaine test..

  • If the Rockets would have added one more piece to that '86 team to go along with Hakeem and Ralph Sampson they would have supplanted the Lakers as the best team in the West throughout the rest of the 1980's, the Celtics got old later in the 80's so they would have eventually knocked them off. The Twin Towers were too much to handle plan and simple.

  • Had Jordan, Olajuwon, and Drexler been teammates (as speculated), finishing second to the Rockets would be like an NBA championship.

  • Talk about demonizing your heart and soul. Hakeem was the Houston Rockets

  • And i still dont see why you white people call us niggers

  • @iburale and the best of his era

  • This video should tell you how moronic the media is...from 1989-1994 they labeled Hakeem as selfish and self-absorbed, when they couldn't be further from the truth. Winning changes everything.
