Dealer Promo Film. These films were created by Roy Ross and used by Chrysler Dealers using their Kodak Supermatic 60 film projectors. They could be viewed by sales people or even by the potential customer. The Kodak Supermatic 60 film system was launched in the early 70's. They used a film loop cartridge. 1975 was the best selling year for Chrysler since 1969 even though overall, 1975 was a poor year for the auto industry in general. A mere 9000 Imperials were sold in it's final year as a make of car. The Imperials would be reintroduced three more times by Chrysler, one in 2007 as a Show Car

In the early 1960's, our neighbor and 18th district congressman, Wayne L. Hays, Owned a Chrysler Imperial convertible....winter cream with charcoal conv. rag top and it was huge....I think it was a 1960 or '61....What a stately Car...the huge bullet globe headlights and rear gun tail lights....Massive in size. Those were the days of real cars.....and things that were made to last forever. HTH in Wheeling,WV...
My father was strictly a Mopar family car guy. He used to own a 77 Newport, 71 Newport Custom, 66 300, 61 Windsor, 58 New Yorker. I wish i had a big Mopar to own and be happy forever.
@BNforever2009 My grandparents on both sides of the family owned some chryslers but my Dad was a Chevy GM guy. As a kid, i always loved the chryslers. Then i worked for a Factory owned Chrysler Store for 3 years.....best memories. I owned a 58 New Yorker, my first car. Many of our mechanices owned some of the cars you mentioned. Great cars...and I am now a proud owner of an Imperial Convertible and a St Regis. :O) Get one Soon! You'll never regret it!
I had a '72 Newport Royal, 4-door sedan. It had a 400 cid V-8., automatic transmission, 2 barrel carburetor.; 22 gallon gas tank: and got around 27 miles to a gallon of gas. Do you suppose it would be considered a clunker today?
What a YouTube diamond! Thanks for sharing it! An era when cars were what they were supposed to be and Chrysler was #1! I want a white Imperial with a red leather interior!
I have a 95% Original 1974 Newport. Original Paint. Original Interior looks like new. The A/C blows Ice Cold. I have owned many Chrysler products from 1979 and Older. I wouldn't have it any other way.
