Ubuntu 10.04 with Compiz in VirtualBox

This video demonstrates how to get Ubuntu 10.04 set up in a VM with Compiz.

Note: It is very important to upgrade BEFORE installing VirtualBox tools, as the update upgrades the kernel, which in turn wipes the graphics card module. Making Compiz unavailable.

The PC I used had:

Motherboard: Asus P5N-E SLI

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC to 2.6GHz

RAM: 8GB DDR2 800MHz

GPU: Ati Radeon 2400 PRO 256MB GDDR2

HDD: 1x250GB SATA II + 1x500GB SATAII

However, this spec can easily run multiple VMs at the same time, a build half as good as this could still run Ubuntu in VirtualBox well.
