The very first trailer for Ninjamurai - I apologise for the image quality, it was taken with an iPhone in our badly lit office but I hope it gives you an idea of the game. This is from the proof of concept and we will upload a finished trailer at the beginning of April, from the full game.

  • those giant dragonfles, are like unnatural on the screen, they follow you everywhere

  • what the fuck is this shit

  • Hey where can u get a Ninja Gaiden game for PSP anyways?

  • yea even the ninja gaiden music is better

  • Ninja Gaiden is better than this :<

  • There is no need for gravity/mass in a run-and-jump game? Not if you're making a jump-and-float-indefinitely game perhaps. I think I'm gonna go ahead and discontinue this.. conversation.

You have a nice day now.

  • @TheDancingKetchup tweening isn´t needed either. simple math is needed.

i´d call it physics if there was need for gravity / mass, but that´s not the case for a simple jump and run game.

  • @jougetsu Non sequitor. fantastic.

No, like my initial comment stated, inbetween sprites are needed. Much the same like with keyframe animation, you need inbetweens to make an animation run/appear more smoothly and to make them correlate with internal/external influences, i.e muscle movement/gravity/momentum.

Acceleration/deceleration is used at the beginning, peak and end of a jump, like an arc. that's where you use inbetween sprites to make it appear there's actual PHYSICS involved.

  • @TheDancingKetchup you dont need acceleration to move an object. isn´t it clear enough?

  • @jougetsu. Whether or not you are a developer is irrelevant, my example SMW example still stands.

Feel free to expand on the "you are wrong" bit as well, rather than just outright stating it with the credentials "i am a game developer"

"sprites don't have anything to do with physics" is not something any GD should just say, please justify your statements if you want to get into an actual discussion
